The Director of Global Marketing is responsible for overseeing Hexagon Geospatial's global marketing and content strategy and identifying significant growth and business opportunities for the organization. He or she will be accountable for building global awareness and advocacy for the company’s leading solutions as well as generating sales opportunities within key customer segments.  This individual must be creative, bringing their own ideas, while also understanding and differentiating between trends and emerging marketing opportunities.  


He or she will establish marketing plans to attain sales and profitability goals, as well as core content and training initiatives to drive customer retention, education, and engagement. This individual will also be responsible for delivering effective marketing programs and initiatives, executing these with a high standard of excellence with attention to details, while remaining flexible, and making changes as needed.


The Director of Global Marketing manages the entire marketing and core content teams, including digital marketing, field marketing, design, documentation and training, and is engaged in related worldwide activities to support our growth aspirations and selling efforts to continue to build the Hexagon Geospatial brand. Primary Responsibilities include:


  • Direct and oversee all Hexagon Geospatial marketing initiatives to identify and develop new customers for solutions and services
  • Build upon a cohesive, collaborative team fostering shared goals and priorities. This includes directing staff in both creative and routine work to maximize the talents in developing communications, marketing collateral, websites, email campaigns, advertisements and other marketing deliverables
  • Develop and execute division’s HxGN LIVE strategy to drive target attendance, meaningful content, and sales and partner engagement. This also includes developing the messaging visible across the track (keynote, signage, sessions, etc.), and utilization of the messaging and derivative components to support campaigns and marketing communications throughout the year
  • Create guidelines for content generation and maximizing efficiency and utilization across marketing tools (Website, DAM, Pardot, SFDC, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.)
  • Optimize marketing automation strategy and processes to generate better leads, nurture the pipeline, improve close rates for sales, and provide insights through in-depth prospect tracking and analytics
  • Demonstrate strong Salesforce experience, communicating the impact of marketing activities on the sales pipeline through lead tracking, conversion, management and reporting to understand a comprehensive picture of marketing ROI
  • Lead the team’s plans and delivery of all product and solution launches and derivative components, including driving the schedule and communications across the division (with the R&D, legal, G&A, leadership), corporate team and other divisions, and external audience (partner/customers/prospects)
  • Research and develop strategies and plans which identify marketing opportunities to drive company growth
  • Develop and manage marketing budgets, and oversee the development and management of internal operating budgets
  • Plan and coordinate public affairs, and communications efforts, to include public relations and community outreach
  • Represent the division at various business meetings to collaborate with other Hexagon divisions
  • Establish and implement annual marketing plans and strategies with agility to incorporate new short- and long-range departmental goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Geography, Communications, or Business
  • MBA or other Master’s Degree preferred
  • 15 plus years related experience and minimum 5 years management responsibility
  • Must have experience working for a software/technology company
