    The position of Geospatial Solutions Engineer is to promote and present Hexagon Geospatial software’s products to prospective customers. This will involve detailed demonstrations of Hexagon Geospatial enterprise and cloud software product offerings. The successful candidate will also provide ability in user needs analysis, design, development and implementation of client solutions in support of the professional services team. Travel in US and Canada will be required up to 50% of your time, with international travel possible on a periodic basis.


    This is a challenging role, working with multi-layered enterprise software product in the fast-growing GIS (Geospatial Information Systems) domain. The ideal candidate will be an energetic, creative problem-solver, with hands-on experience using MS .NET, JavaScript, HTML, SQL and/or cloud infrastructure. Experience in the geospatial industry is a strong plus. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:


    • Running demonstrations with prospective clients to promote and assist with the sale of Hexagon Geospatial Software products and solutions
    • Working with professional services as liaison to smooth transition from sales closure
    • Communicating with the sales team regarding sales strategies
    • Maintain understanding of Hexagon Geospatial products, position, and competitive offerings
    • Attendance at exhibitions/conferences to promote the company’s products


    • Bachelor’s Degree in Geography, Computer Science, or related field
    • 3-5 years experience in the geospatial industry, preferably in software
    • Ability to build and present software product demonstrations
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills
    • Customer oriented, good problem solver, team player with excellent communications skills
    • Programming knowledge in: JavaScript, HTML, SQL, RDBMS, .NET, Java, Python
    • Strong interpersonal skills / relationship building
    • Ability to work independently or as part of a team
    • Time management / multi-tasking ability
    • Sales lifecycle understanding
    • Creative problem solving
    • GIS/geospatial and web mapping experience strongly desired
    • Experience in enterprise software implementation strongly desired
    • Flexible regarding travel (50% of time spent travelling within USA)
