    Hexagon Geospatial is seeking a talented, enthusiastic intern to join our team in Huntsville, Alabama. As a member of our Content Team, this intern will work under the direction of other Content Team members to edit marketing communications and technical documentation for content, style, voice, and organization, as well as grammar and spelling. The resulting marketing materials will be used to engage prospects, generate sales leads, and drive sales. Published technical documentation will be installed on customer systems as part of Hexagon Geospatial software delivery and will also be made available to users over the Internet. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: 


    • Assist in the establishment of consistent and professional messages in consumer-targeted communications, including case studies, white papers, website pages, blog posts, press releases, emails, and other marketing communications
    • Proofread materials through their various stages all the way from conceptualization to their publication, and edit spelling, grammar, syntax, style and voice
    • When reviewing written drafts, offer suggestions to improve the work and propose possible titles 
    • Help identify outdated references and existing content that needs to be rewritten so that content remains fresh and relevant
    • Review content usage analytics, and offer suggestions to increase reader engagement and retention
    • Learn to use Pardot marketing automation software
    • Use Pardot to edit marketing emails
    • Learn to use Author-it enterprise authoring and content management software
    • Use Author-it to edit new and existing technical documentation, including online help, user and installation guides, and technical reference materials, for organization, content, style, grammar and spelling
    • Publish and upload completed technical documentation
    • Participate in and contribute to other Content Team projects


    • Must be a currently enrolled college student or recent graduate
    • Field of study must be Professional Writing, Technical Communication, Technical Writing, English or a closely related discipline
    • GPA of 3.0/4.0 or higher in field of study
    • Excellent proofreading and editing skills with exceptional attention to detail
    • Interpersonal skills to interact with Research and Development, as well as members of the Content Team and larger Marketing organization
    • Ability to focus in an environment filled with distractions
    • Ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative team environment
    • Punctual, self-motivated, and able to adapt to changing priorities
    • Organized and able to meet deadlines
